So why are they so good? surely they can’t be any different to regular foot files? we suspect there is a bit of marketing and push behind these files.
The title of the product is a dead giveaway. They are trying to leverage as many foot problems as possible. But that”s not to say this file won’t work.
What are the main features of the NYK1?
The NYK1 is a pretty simple design for a foot file and could be considered more of a rasp or foot scrubber than a file.
They even claim themselves that they have the “sharpest foot file” whether that’s a good thing is another matter. The sharper the file then the more careful you need to be.
The design has an ergonomic handle with a slightly curved rectangular paddle shape. Available in pink and black.
The main body of the file is plastic with the rubbing surface being stainless steel. We can’t comment on the quality of the surface or how long it will last. this will depend on the quality of the stainless steel and whether it’s dried carefully after use.
The total length is 27.5cm and 7cm at it’s widest point. This make it good for heavy use.

How do you use the NKY1?
One of the best things about this type of file as how easy it is to use. Just make sure your feet are clean and dry (or wet) and gently rub the surface against the hard skin.
It’s recommended to put a towel to catch any hard skin that comes off.
After a couple of minutes of gently rubbing apply a good quality moisturising foot cream.
Does this need to be used wet?
This is a good question and a lot of rasps, foot files and pumice stones do recommend only being used when wet.
The main reason for this is due to the heat build up of rubbing it against your feet. This increases the risk of damaging your feet.
The NYK1 claim that their file can be used on wet and dry feet. This should be done with caution.
